Will you be my Valentine?

I enjoy hearts, red, pink, flowers, chocolate, and love notes. I know that a lot of people don't like Valentine's Day, but it's one of my favorite holidays to decorate and celebrate.

This year I decided to do some special things for Tim just to show how much I love and appreciate him. I know, I should do it everyday, but when you've been married for seven years and have a little one in to everything, it's hard to remember to do the little things.

First, I found these cute printables here, and even though I only had enough time for a week of sweet treats for my sweetie, I think he liked finding something waiting for him every morning.

The second thing I did was make this cute little coupon book. It was super easy and quick to put together. I used some of her ideas and some of my own.

Logan and I visited Tim for lunch today and brought him some of these.

My friend Brandy tried the recipe and recommended it on her blog and I decided to try them out.

I don't have a Kitchen Aid and they still worked out great!

Three Kings Day

We were a little late celebrating Three Kings Day this year, but we wanted to make sure that everyone could come and participate. We had a fabulous time and the camels brought lots of treasured gifts. Thanks to the Peterson's for hosting our annual shindig!

The Handsome Fella at Nine Months

He just keeps getting bigger and cuter by the day! I can't believe how much he's already changed from six months. We decided to get some pictures taken to document just how cute he is! He hasn't been quite as smiley at strangers lately, but I think he did alright :) A big thanks to Angie Morton for taking time out of her crazy day to take some darling pictures of our little guy!

9 Months

The little Mr is not so little anymore. I can't believe my little baby is getting so big already. He gets more and more independent everyday!

-He loves to explore the house, not that we have much room to explore :)

-He's been teething and ornery, his bottom two teeth have finally broken through

-He's crawling faster and faster, he can get to something he really wants in no time flat

-He's been pulling himself up, first just to his knees, and just the last couple of days to his feet

-He loves to walk around with Mom and Dad's help

-He likes to play and his naps suffer from this desire :)

-He really likes little kids, anytime they play with him he loves it

-Growing tired of oatmeal, he's really interested in big people food

-Smiles at you right before he does something he knows he's not supposed to

-Rather play with things he's not supposed to rather than with all of his toys

-Loves bed time stories

-His favorite song is Snuggle Puppy

-Had his first allergic reaction to some eye drops

-Loves to jabber and yell at his Mom

-His eczema has really flared up in this crazy weather this winter

-Loves his Momma and Dadda lots and lots

He went to the doctor today and got measured and weighed

The year of the dragon

Thanks to the Olsen/Jesperson clan we now have a new tradition for Chinese New Year. Logan and I were lucky enough to be invited to see Fredrick the dragon at Dragon Isle. I wasn't quite sure how Logan would respond to the dragon and drums, but he really didn't seem to notice all of the commotion. The food was great and the company was even better!!!

Logan's Favorite Places and Spaces

Logan loves to explore and try to look at everything :) Here are some of his favorite places and spaces around the house.

He loves playing with the door stops, they sure do make a funny noise :)

He loves looking out the window

Loves finding our water bottles and getting the caps open

Crawls in and out of the bathroom so he can knock on the tub

He absolutely loves being in the tub, he'd do it all time if we'd let him

8 Months

I can't believe how much this little guy is growing. I can't believe that he's 8 months already. Where does the time go? This little guy has been an adventure the last 8 months and I'm sure he'll keep the adventure coming as he gets bigger and bigger.

What he's been up to:

-crawling

-exploring

-playing

-jabbering

-wiggling

-smiling

-giggling

-jumping

-cuddling, only when he can stop wiggling

-cold #2 came, and seems to be sticking around

-whining, when he doesn't feel good

-trying some new foods, he loves his momma's home made rolls

The First Christmas

This was the first Christmas with the Budster, tears come to my eyes thinking about how blessed we are to have this special little boy in our lives. He didn't think much of Christmas and the presents, he was more into touching the Christmas decorations more than anything :) He heard,"No, No" a lot while he was exploring his new found freedom of crawling. Can I just say that I'm really glad that I was able to take the tree down already?
The little man got to open a few presents this year and was not at all interested, it's a good thing only a couple things were wrapped :) He got some new toys, books, and clothes (he's about to transition to 12 month sizes). According to Tim, he was a little spoiled :)

With money being tight and getting the news that the roofs will need quite a large assessment to be re-done, there wasn't any left over for a Christmas for Mommy and Daddy this year. Tim, the wonderful husband that he is, still surprised me with some Wicked tickets for July. I'm just a little excited, as you can see.

Although it's blurry, that's the only picture of the peanut I took with his Christmas clothes on, he slept most of the day away at my Mom's while we were stuffing our faces.

We're so grateful that we had the chance to spend time with both of our families this Christmas season, even with Tim working two jobs, we still had time to spend all together. We hope that you had a wonderful Christmas and were able to spend some time with your families!

Pinterest is a little website that I spend way too much time on. They had a cute little picture of a little boy at Christmas time playing with lights that I pinned. I thought we totally had to do that with Logan. Too bad I don't have a really nice camera that can take pictures really fast, because this little guy can get something in his mouth before you even have time to blink. I do think this one turned out well, compared to the other 50 I took that didn't :)

P.S. Tim told me that I needed to post that Logan was not hurt while taking pictures. He only got the lights in his mouth a couple of times, before we kindly ripped them out :)

The little man is crawling

Tim told me this was a blog worthy occasion :) I think he just said that because he hasn't seen it in person and he wants to watch it all day at work (We love and miss you Daddy). We're so proud of our little guy!!! He's been working up to this for awhile, and he's pretty excited to be able to get around. I'm glad he's growing and progressing, but now all my decorations are in trouble :)

7 Months

My little man just keeps getting bigger and older by the day. He's got such a cute little personality, and is turning out to be quite the funny little fella. Sure do love him lots!
Here are some things he's been up to:
-He's become really good at breaking out of his snap up jammies. I had to buy a sleep sack so his little tootsies can stay warm at night.
-He thinks it's really funny to cough, it gets Mom a little worried, but I think he's just a faker.
-He's gotten a lot better at sitting up. He can do it for a minute or two if he really tries, but he really likes being on his tummy exploring.
-He's so close to crawling. He gets up on his hands and knees all the time, but hasn't quite gotten brave to get both of them moving.
-He's moved on to stage 2 foods, he'll eat anything I give him to eat.
-He drinks from a sippy cup really well, I think he almost prefers that over the bottle.
-I started giving him the little puff cereal treats and he does really well getting them into his mouth most of the time.
-He got weighed at a ear check up and he now weighs 18.5 pounds. He's my solid little boy :)

Now, for a little story about the pictures below. I was taking some pictures of Logan last night and was deleting a couple that didn't turn out and I pressed one more button which deleted all of the pictures I had taken within the last month. After freaking out and crying because I couldn't believe what I had just done, I got on the Internet to see what I could do. Thank goodness for technology and programs that can help you out when you've done something really stupid. I was able to get the majority of the pictures back that I had lost. There were still some that didn't work and some that only half the picture showed up, but I'm just glad I got some back. Moral of the story, upload all your photos then delete ones that didn't work, so you don't end up having a breakdown like me.

6 Months

Can't believe that my little boy is already half way to a year already. Time sure does go by quick with a little one around! He's been growing lots and having lots of fun learning new things.

-He started out his six month with a cold. The poor little guy hasn't felt good at all. At least there was only one night with only two hours of sleep for Mom. When we went to the doctor for his check-up the next day she looked in his ears and wanted to start him on some antibiotic, no wonder he didn't sleep good.

-He's been eating cereal and fruit in the morning and cereal and veggies in the evening. He loves food, but doesn't so much like the fruit or veggies by themselves.

-He's getting closer to sitting up on his own, but he has a really long torso and shorter legs, so he's having a bit harder time keeping himself up.

-We think that he could be crawling any day now. When he's on the floor he can pivot and wiggle to get a toy or something he wants that's close by.

-He got an early Christmas present. He loves his jumperoo. I was going to get an exersaucer, but we don't have a doorway we could use on a regular basis for his johnny jump up, and this boy loves to jump.

-He loves to play and be the center of attention. I'm getting used to waiting to eat until he's down for a nap.

-He's been spending a lot of time with Mommy. Daddy found a night job to help pay the bills, and he doesn't see him Monday through Thursday, but we're glad he gets to catch up on the lost time on the weekends.

His stats are:

wt: 17 lbs 12 oz - 56%

ht: 27 1/2 inches - 84%

The First Haircut

The three of us headed up to my sisters yesterday for a very overdue hair appointment. After Tim and I had our hair cut and dried, we decided that Logan needed a little trim :) He had some really long pieces that just needed to be trimmed up to match all the hair that he has growing in.

The Sneeze

This little boy gets his sneezes from his Mommy :) They come on quick and they're big and loud!

I'll never understand how people can hold them back, I just don't think that's possible for me or Logan. As you can see from the pictures below it happens, and when his mouth is full of food. The last picture is of his face right after it happened, "I sneezed it all out, feed me more."

5 Months

Logan's been growing and growing!
Here are some of the things Logan has been up to:

-He rolls over like a pro (he'd make it all the way across the room if I'd let him)
-He loves to eat from a spoon (been mixing veggies into his cereal, he hasn't minded any of them)
-Likes it when you read books and sing songs (he looks at me like I'm and idiot when I do silly voices)
-Likes to play with toys (more like chew on them, he gets mad the whole thing can't fit in his mouth)
-Has eyes for his Mom (when Dad's holding him on the other couch, Mom gets the stare down)
-Makes silly faces (probably because we do the same faces at him)
-Trying to practice sitting up on his own (this kid is wiggly, practice doesn't last long)
-Not much of a cuddler unless he's really sleepy (much to his Mom's dismay)
-He likes to be home and on a schedule (We were gone a couple Sundays ago from 8 to 8 with only about an hour at home in between, let's just say I've been paying for that one)
-He's just about to move up into 9 month clothes (this child is going to break the bank with how fast he grows)
-He's become his Mom's exercise partner (I really like having him around, and I don't think he minds getting outside too much)
-He has more hair growing in (the hair he had left is crazy all the time)
-Loves his Johnny Jump Up (I love it to, it's fun to watch jumping)
-He's the number one slobber monster (it doesn't stop coming, hopefully that means a tooth soon)
-Getting his Mom and Dad to love him more and more everyday!!!!

Four Months

Life with Logan is just so much fun! I seriously can't get enough of this little boy! I can't believe how much he's changed, even within this last month!

Here are some if the things he's been up to:
-Rolling over (he does better from back to tummy, even though that's the harder one to do)
-Started eating cereal (he eats from a spoon like a champ)
-Chews on his fists all the time (slobbering is now a big part of our day)
-Naps are getting longer (Yahoo!!!)
-Still sleeping through the night (Yahoo!!!)
-Starting to play with toys (if he realizes that they're in his hand)
-Smiling all the time (I find myself smiling more because of it)
-Giggling (best sound in the world)
-Not minding car rides as much (I think he's forgotten our long car ride to Reno by now)
-THE CUTEST BOY EVER (he's been doing that since before he was born)

He's been growing, here are his four month stats:
Weight: 15 pounds 1 ounce - 50%
Height: 25 1/4 inches - 60%
I also have to say, he did so good getting his shots done this time. He cried with the first initial shock, but after a couple minutes of cuddling with Mom, he was as happy as a clam :)

Sure do love this boy, although I can't get a good picture of him :)

Who does Logan take after?

We've heard that Logan looks like Tim, but then we sometimes hear that he looks like me. We thought we'd take a little closer look and show that he's actually a pretty good mix of the two of us.

He has his Dad's toes(the little toe tucks under the fourth toe)

We're pretty sure that he's going to end up with his Mom's blue eyes

He has his Mom's hands(the little pinky finger is super short)

3 Months Old

This little boy just keeps growing! I can't believe he's already three months old. I tried to take some cute pictures of the little man, but the picture below is the only one that he wasn't moving in!

He is such a wiggle worm!

I'm pretty sure that he's over the 13 pound mark now and is starting to wear 6 month clothes.

He's now sleeping through the night, but hasn't quite figured out how to take more than a 45 minute nap without a big fight.

He's given his Mom a couple of giggles, but I think he's just holding them in and they're just going to come spilling out any day now:)

He loves it when his Mom sings Eensy Weensy Spider.

He likes to sit up or stand.

Loves to be under his play mat batting at the toys that hang down.

He HATES his car seat, he now arches his back when I try to strap him in.

A talk, I like a lot

I found a quote on a friends blog and I decided I wanted to read the entire talk (found on lds.org). It brought tears to my eyes. Tim and I struggled to get pregnant and we had a lot of bumps, and sometimes felt like mountains to get through until we got our special little boy. I know that there are many that struggle with infertility and it's not an easy thing to have to deal with. So, if your reading this and are struggling with infertility, or having any type of struggle for that matter, I think it's something all of us could use.

Trust, Patience, and Endurance: My Lessons from Infertility

I can’t imagine any little girl dreaming of her future wedding and family and at the same time including the shadow of infertility. I certainly didn’t. I planned on getting married and having children. Even through the beginning of my marriage I continued under the impression that we would be able to do so. My husband, Zach, and I had both received blessings that highlighted the role of children in our future and felt the Holy Ghost testify to us that we would be parents.
We were awed by the responsibility of parenthood, but we were dedicated to doing our very best. We hoped and prayed and planned and prepared, but month after month went by without any success. After a year of doctor visits, tests, probes, and procedures, we still weren’t able to conceive a child.
While my husband was a steadfast support to me, I began to waiver in my faith. I remember one particularly dark period when I let Satan take such control of my heart that I confessed to my husband that I didn’t even know why I was praying anymore—“it isn’t like God is answering me,” I said. “It’s not like I’m feeling anything. It’s not like He was even listening to or loving me.”
Questions flooded my heart and occupied my mind. Why was life so unfair? Why were people who weren’t committed to marriage and family allowed to be parents? When was it going to be our turn? Was there something wrong with me? How could God command us to multiply and replenish the earth while simultaneously denying us the ability to do so? Were we being punished? What were we doing wrong?
Sometimes, in light of these questions that plagued me, I would explain to Heavenly Father my desire to be a mother and my understanding of the sacredness of that great and wonderful responsibility. Promising Heavenly Father I would be a better person if I could conceive a baby, I would make lists of goals and work to achieve them. However, despite my good intentions, it didn’t work. While my testimony seemed to recover and my faith seemed to return, it was without foundation. At the end of a month of such progress, my heart would break all over again when I still wasn’t pregnant. I didn’t understand then these powerful principles that I have since learned.

Absolute Faith and Trust in God

In my experience it was easy to trust Heavenly Father and believe in Him when everything was going well—when things go the way I wanted them to go within a time frame that I established. One day as I was reading my scriptures, I read, “Dispute not because ye see not, for ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith” (Ether 12:6). It helped me see that absolute trust and faith is what really matters, especially when things don’t go the way we want them to, when we want them to. From this verse I learned the simple truth that I ought not to doubt simply because the blessing (or answer or witness) hasn’t come yet. If the blessing hasn’t come, it doesn’t mean it won’t come. It just means the trial’s not over yet. Hang on. Hold tight. It means learning whatever we need to and then to “stand still, with the utmost assurance, to see the salvation of God, and for his arm to be revealed” (D&C 123:17). Absolute trust and faith means to trust and believe when it’s easy and when it’s nearly impossible, when we want to and when we don’t, when we feel able and when we feel utterly incapable.

Patience to Stay the Course

Through our struggle to conceive, I’ve come to realize that patience isn’t waiting two weeks or a month. It isn’t waiting six months or even two years. Patience means waiting until the end. Patience means humbly accepting the Lord’s timing—whatever it is. Throughout the past months and years, I have often created agreements in my mind with Heavenly Father. I’d explain to him what I’m going to do to prepare if He will bless us with pregnancy this month. What I’ve come to realize, however, is that Heavenly Father doesn’t work like that. I don’t set out the terms of the agreement. Heavenly Father has promised me children, but He has not promised me them tomorrow. Patience means staying the course until the promised blessings come.

Understanding Our Potential

I remember after our first failed medical procedure—a procedure that I had been sure would work—the thought came powerfully into my mind that “God . . . will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it” (1 Corinthians 10:13). Immediately, I found great comfort in Paul’s words as I knew I couldn’t bear anymore disappointments or heartbreaks. I concluded that must mean it was the end of this trial! However, I was wrong. Heavenly Father knew I could endure more.
I now know that He sees more clearly than I do what my limits are and what my potential to grow and learn is. He knows that it is only through trials that I will reach my full potential. I know that His plan is often a refiner’s fire. I am grateful that He alone knows how long I can stand the fire and endure my trials. Were it up to me, I’d be out of the fire before it’s even lit, and I wouldn’t learn a thing.
Struggling with issues of infertility is not a trial that I foresaw, nor is it a trial that I would wish upon anyone, but I know that as we trust and believe completely and absolutely, develop patience and come to understand our own divine potential, it is a trial like all others, one that can be endured and overcome.

2 Month Stats, a little late :)

Logan is growing and growing! He now weighes 12 pounds 7 ounces and is 23 and 3/4 inches!

He's in the 75% for both weight and height.

He loves to talk, and does it all the time now. I don't think I've ever heard a baby talk as much as he does! He smiles all the time now, it just makes us melt!

Blessing day

We blessed Logan the last Sunday in June. We decided that would be a good day for it because Tim's Mom and Dad were in town for the Sedgwick Family reunion. We also wanted to make sure that Chad, Logan's Uncle, was there too. He just shipped out for duty for a year, so we felt blessed that he was still here to be apart of the blessing. Thanks to all the family and friends that came to support us. We feel blessed to have so many that were willing to help and be apart of our day. Tim did a wonderful job with the blessing. We did forget to record it, but we're going to try to remember some of the things he said and write them down. He was blessed with some pretty great things, we feel so blessed that such a special spirit is apart of our family.

A special thanks to Tim's Grandma, she let us have the get together after the blessing at her house. There was no way that we could have fit everyone in our place so, it was great to be able to have somewhere to eat some yummy food!

Logan's first swim

The Sedgwick side of the family gets together for a family reunion every year the last Saturday in June. We have some yummy food and they rent out a pool so, we can all go swimming. We thought it would be fun to have Logan go swimming with us this year. It didn't last very long, because one of the little kids pooped in the kiddie pool, so we all had to get out and it was too chilly for Logan to wait around while they got the poop out.

Logan has been giving us smiles for the past couple weeks now, but trying to catch one is impossible! By the time I pull the camera out he's usually done giving smiles. If I do pull it out in time the camera makes noise when it takes pictures and scares him so, he wont give me a smile. We just love seeing these smiles and knowing he's a happy boy! He's also started talking to us. His favorite word is, "Ahoooooooooo".

I worked super hard to get the Little Man's room done before he arrived, and I did it! We've still been trying to sell our place, so I didn't want to paint any of the walls, but I still think it looks pretty cute! I hope Logan will appreciate all my hard work when he can actually see all that I've done!

Two Weeks with Logan

This last Wednesday we went to the doctor for the little man's first real check up. He was weighed, measured, and had his poor little heel poked twice. The little man isn't so little :) He weighed in at 10 pounds 2 ounces, and measured 22 1/2 inches. I'm thinking that he was measured wrong when he was born, because I'm not sure if it's possible for him to grow that much in that amount of time. He's in the 90th percentile for his height and 85 for his weight. I can't believe he's grown that much already!

Logan Russell Sedgwick

We are so happy that he finally came! Despite having my membranes stripped two weeks in a row, he decided to stay in there until he had a little help to get out. My doctor was nice enough to fudge the numbers for me and I was able to get in to be induced the day after my due date.
On Wednesday, April 27 we checked into the Riverton Hospital at 7:15 AM, my doctor was there and broke my water by 7:45. I started to have contractions, but they gave me pitocin to really get things moving. I hadn't really felt too many contractions, but the nurse decided that I was ready for my epidural, which was okay with me :) With that I was able to relax and wait for things to progress. By about 2:30 I was dilated to a 10 and ready to push. I pushed about 30 minutes and was ready for my doctor to come catch the baby. We had to wait about 20 minutes for her to get there, but once she got there I only had to push 5 more minutes and Logan Russell Sedgwick was born at 3:40 PM. He was one big little fella 9 pounds 4 ounces and 20 inches long.
We couldn't be happier that he made it here and is healthy baby boy!

Unfortunately the Baby Boy is not here yet :( I keep telling him how much his Mom and Dad want to see him. Let's just hope he'll start to listening to his Mom and he will make his appearance soon!

I am very happy to say that my last doctors appointment brought good news! She checked me and I am dilated to a 1.5 and 60% effaced. She also offered to strip my membranes this Friday to get things moving. I'm not going to turn that down, so we could have a baby within 72 hours of having that done. Needless to say we are excited!
Any guesses on when he's going to come? How big is this little man going to be?
If you get it right you'll get the satisfaction of being right :)

26 and counting...

Yesterday was my 26th Birthday. When I was a kid I remember always wishing that I was older. Now that I'm older I miss the Birthdays I used to have as a kid! Having all the kids in class make you a home-made card, and your Mom bringing in Birthday treats. It really was the pretty cool! If only we could keep the magic of Birthdays alive like it was when we were kids and make it as exciting as it was back then. I want to thank my Husband for indulging me in some Birthday magic like I used to have and giving me a very sweet card yesterday, and also taking the day off with me, so I could spend some time with him. He really is such a good man and takes really good care of his wifey, despite her not being very easy to be around sometimes.
I realized today that I have 26 days until my due date. I can't wait to spend many Birthdays with the little guy and Tim. Making all of our Birthdays just as special as the last! I just hope that my Birthday wish comes true and the little guy wants to meet us before April 26th.
26 sure is a big number to me these days if you can't tell :)

I got the cute little bookshelves at the Wood Connection and painted them up to match his room. I think they're perfect! I hope the little man likes books as much as I do!

6 YEARS!

Yesterday was our 6 year Anniversary. It feels like it was just the other day that we were kneeling across the alter from each other promising each other forever. Lots of things have changed like: where we live, jobs, and the upcoming arrival of our little Buddy. Somethings have stayed the same like: the commitment we share for each other, the fact that we're best friends, and our happiness with one another. One thing that continues to grow is our love that we have for each other. We can't wait to add even more love to our lives when our little Buddy gets here!

My Valentine

This is my Valentine. I love him so much. I'm so lucky that he picked me to be his wife! I love coming home from work and cuddling on the couch with him, it's the best part of my day. I wish I could spend a lot more time with him, sometimes I just can't get enough! He's such a wonderful husband and is going to be just as wonderful as a dad. Thanks for being so wonderful Timothy! I'm so glad I get to spend forever with you. You really are all a girl could ask for! I love you!

My New Best Buddy

This is my new best buddy, at least until my other best buddy gets here :) I've been having trouble sleeping since my second trimester started and this pillow has helped out so much. It's pretty large and it takes up most of our Queen size bed, but it's worth it, at least for me, maybe not for Tim :) It not only helps with sleeping but, also with sitting and lounging on the couch. I wish I could take it to work, it would help with all the sore muscles in my back. I would recommend it to anyone, if you need some extra comfort in bed!

What's in a name?

How do you know what name to give your child? This is a new experience for us and it's been difficult to come to a decision. We actually agree on two names and it really wasn't that hard to come to a decision on those names. We just made a list of names that we liked, narrowed it down to two that we love. Tim has now decided that the rest of the decision making is up to me! If you know me very well at all, you have to know that I'm not really a decisive person. Making the decision of what I want to eat for dinner is hard enough, let alone picking the name for our little guy, which he will carry for the rest of his life! The two names that we have picked out are: Noah Reed, or Logan Russell. How can you choose between those two cute names? I'm having the hardest time deciding. I think we might just have to wait till we see what he looks like, unless I figure out how to make the decision before! I do know one thing, we love him so much already and we can't wait till he gets here!

We had a very good Christmas this year! The Baby Boy had an excellent Christmas this year! He was privileged to some yummy food, time with family, and lots of good presents! Tim and I decided that this year most of our Christmas money would go to the boy, and it did!

Here are a couple of pics of our little Mr at his halfway point(he's still a boy). He wasn't co-operating very well during the ultrasound so, we didn't get very good pictures. We did see that he was growing just the way that he should be and everything looked great! He's going to be such a handsome little guy!
A couple days after the ultrasound I finally started to feel him kick and punch me. It took me a little by suprise, because I hadn't felt him at all till then. He hasn't stopped since! We have ourselves a little wiggle monster!

Thanksgiving with the Parrish Fam

I love Thanksgiving, it's one of my favorite holidays. It's the one day of the year that you have an excuse to stuff yourself. This year was my family's year to host and it was nice that the whole family could be there(see above picture-thanks to my sister I got at least one picture from the day). Tim and I were in charge of drinks and desserts, we were busy with them and helping with the clean up that I didn't have any time to take any pictures. It was a delicious meal that I wish I could have a lot more often and the company wasn't so bad either :)

When I had my ultrasound to see if we could tell the sex of the baby the tech said that she was 97% sure that we were going to have a little man. I have my 20 week ultrasound in another week or so and here's to hoping that the 3% won't be showing up, or I'm going to have some returning to do:)

Letters in the mail

With the world of technology it's not often that you get letters in the mail anymore. Isn't it the best feeling when Christmas time, or Birthday time comes around and you get an envelope with your name on it? This doesn't happen very often anymore, but when it does it surely makes my day.
Our families got something very special in their mail this week (Couldn't get a very good scan, you'll have to settle for a picture)

We're very happy to announce that our Little Mr will be here at the end of April of 2011!!!! Getting this little guy here has been quite the process. There was lots of waiting, discouragement, sadness, and even more waiting. We couldn't be happier that he is on his way, and he's taken our hearts already. We can't wait to meet him! I'm only fourteen weeks, so he has a bit more baking to do:) We're grateful that Heavenly Father has blessed us with the opportunity of being a parents and raising one of his own children.

It was like yesterday, my Mom was waiting for me in my bedroom to tell me that much to her and my father's suprise, they were going to have baby. Me being only eleven at the time, didn't quite understand what it all meant, I just remember being really excited. My Mom says that I'm the reason that my little sister came, because when I was little I would pray for a younger sibling. When I was about seven she told me to stop praying for it, because it just wasn't going to happen. I believe that would make it her fault, because you just can't tell someone to stop praying for something. Especially when it's supposed to happen :)
We celebrated her Birthday yesterday, and went outside and took some pictures of her. I think they turned out pretty cute. Happy 14th lil' Sis!!!

I not only love fall for the changing leaves and cooling weather, I also get really excited that fall TV is back on. I thought I would share some of my favorite fall shows with you because, if you don't watch them, you should :)
Amazing Race is such a good show! Not only for all the cool places they get to go, but the fun challenges the competitors compete in. This season the first episode started out with a girl getting a mini watermelon in the face. Priceless:)

Another one of out favorites is Fantasy Factory. It's a show about a famous skateboarder, Rob Dyrdek, who just comes up with crazy things to do, and does them on this show. If I had as much money as he does, I might be doing some of the same things.

One of our new favorite is Modern Family. It is such a hilarious show! There are so many wonderful characters on this show, Tim and I can't figure out which one we like best.

Project Runway. Heidi Klum, Tim Gunn, and bunch of talented designers that need to "Make it work".

What's not to love about "The Soup" hosts TV show? It even has Chevey Chase, which is always a plus :)

Steve Carrel's last season, I think it's going to be great!!!! Own all the seasons, and enjoy watching them anytime :)

We went to Beaver for the weekend with my family. I know, Beaver, it sounds awesome. My brother-in-law has an Aunt that owns a cabin down there that we stayed at. The cabin was not only big enough for us all to stay, it also had a trampoline, putting green, and a zip line. We had a really great time being together, since we're older we don't get time to do that as much as we used to.

In March of this year I was going through a really rough time and was just down in the dumps. Tim asked if there was anything that he could do for me, and I said, "I want to go to Disneyland". He held up with his part of the bargain and we went to Disneyland this last weekend. We had some people tag along with us as well. Tim's sister and kids came, my brother, the Tappana fam, and Ashley's sister and kids. We had quite the group, but didn't get to spend a ton of time all together. Our little group got to ride all the big rides at least once a day, and sometimes more than once. We did really well for it being pretty busy. I wish I could live there and ride the rides everyday. It really is the happiest place on earth!!!!!

Usually we are with Tim's family for the 4th of July, but since we were able to go earlier this year we weren't really up to anything on the 4th. Tim turned the big 27 last week, and for his birthday he wanted golf shoes. His wife was good to him and let him get his own present, and that's what he got. We thought it would be fun to go golfing on his birthday so he could try out his new shoes. It started out warm and nice, but while we were out it got windy and cold. Although I almost froze, we had a good time just the two of us.

I'm Grateful

I just want to say how grateful I am for our Prophets and Apostles. They say what we need to hear and if we just listen we can hear the answers to our prayers. It's been a rough couple of weeks for me, and to hear how much that my Heavenly Father loves me was just what I needed. Sometimes I think I forget about all his love for me with all that happens in everyday life. It was really nice to hear the reminder and all the other counsel that they gave us. I'm so glad that I took the time to listen. :)

Jazz Game and Challenges

For those of you that didn't know already, Tim won season Jazz tickets this year. He switched tickets with a lady that sat by him, so, we had four tickets to the game this last Monday. We went with our friends Dane and Amber to the game. Even though they lost we all had a really good time.

Last night we hung out with some friends from the ward. We have decided that it will be fun when we get together to do a challenge. Our first challenge was to see who could fit the most Skittles in their mouth. Travis won the Skittles challenge with the high score of 140. We also had some fun with some Mexican Marshmallows. We can't wait for the next challenges and the wonderful photo opportunities it will bring.

Tim has been my Sweetie for five years now. We have never been horribly romantic with gifts, but he always gets me flowers for Valentine's Day. I had also been wanting all the seasons of the Gilmore Girls, and I got those too! He spolis me rotten, I know. In return, he will be getting his play-off tickets for the Jazz. See, I spoil him rotten too! I just want to say how much I love Tim, and what a wonderful husband he is! He makes me the happiest girl around!

Movie Time!

I love this time of year! It's the time of romantic movies! I have already seen two of them and I have two on the list to still see!
The movies I saw were Leap Year, and When In Rome. They were both really cute and I really liked both of them! I would totally recommend them if you want to see a good chick flick.

These two are on my to see list. I just finished Dear John, the book, and it's a tear jerker! I can't wait! I know that Tim is super excited to go to these too! Ha! Hopefully I can find somebody to come with me!

Christmas Time

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. Since Tim's Mom and Dad live in Reno we got to spend Christmas with the Parrish family. We decided we would just sleep over at my brother's place so we didn't have to drive back and forth. Since we decided to do that, we also decided to have Christmas a day early.

I have been so busy with Chistmas preperation that I haven't been able to update yet, so you get two updates in one! Lucky you!

For those of you that don't see us very often, Tim's Mom and Dad live in Reno now. It was their Thanksgiving this year so, some of us went to their new home to celebrate the holiday with them. We had a lot of fun spending time with family and just being together. I didn't get very many pictures, but here are some that I do have.

Our Ward Christmas Party was this last weekend. We have a group of couples in our ward that we have a lot of fun with. We decided that it would be fun to wear ugly Christmas sweaters to the party, and you know what? We fit right in with all the other people from the ward. We had a lot of fun at the party and we kept the party going when we went to the Guzy's for a white elephant exchange. I think the pictures show all the fun we had.

This year for Halloween we had a fun filled weekend full of family and friends. Friday night we were invited over to the Farr's for games and fun. We played Bunko and Time's Up, and just had a great time with everyone. Saturday was my nephew Gavin's Birthday, and we went up to spend some time with my family. We had fun convincing my nephew to eat his cake, or should I say lick his cake. After that we were lucky enough to get to go over to Gourley's on Saturday night and watch a scarey movie with them, we feel really special being able to see them since not very many can. We are so grateful for the friends and family we have and that we can spend time with them.

This last Wednesday my Mom, my sister Emily, and my nephew Gavin came down and we all went to Gardner Village together. It was pretty chilly, but our spirits we high. My poor nephew was pretty tired of all the picture taking by the time the day was through; since he was the only little one there, he was in all of the pictures. Season Jazz Tickets

Tim won season Jazz tickets this year from KFAN. He had to follow the sports hosts on Twitter for eight words they tweeted then put those eight words into the correct sentence and be the thirteenth caller when they asked for the sentence. Somehow it all worked out in his favor and he won! He was also entered into a competition to upgrade the tickets to the lower bowl, he competed in a version of HORSE and lost miserably. He was disappointed in his sad performance, but glad he still had tickets. The best offering may win you a game or two!

Zoo

Tim and I went to the zoo on Monday for Labor Day! It was so busy! I have never seen the Zoo that busy before! We had to look across the street for a place to park. We were lucky enough to have our friends Tim and Ashley join us as well. We had a fun time although the animals weren't doing much of anything. Here are some pictures of our adventure.

Had a rough couple of weeks

I have been pretty sick the last couple of weeks with some stomach problems. I constantly felt nauseous. It started with eating some bad soup from Zupa's. I couldn't sleep or eat. Nothing seemed to help. I called in sick for a whole week. Because I work at a doctor's office, I was lucky enough to have a connection to get in to see a specialist. We set up an appointment for an endoscopy the next week, even though this would be my third one I was still nervous. They took me back and gave me the same medicine that killed Michael Jackson. I understand why he was addicted to it, that was some good stuff. The doctor went into my stomach and looked around and took some biopsies. He said there was there was inflammation and extra bile that probably was causing my symptoms. He put me on some new medication that hopefully sucka up the extra bile. Luckily, the biopsies results came back normal. I am feeling better now after four weeks if feeling crummy. I can eat and have returned to a somewhat normal sleeping schedule. It's nice to be feeling better and hopefully we can take care of this once and for all.

I just have to start out saying that I love Disneyland! I can't believe that Tim hasn't been since he was two and I haven't been since I was nine. When Tim and Ashley invited us to go with them, Tim was not convinced. I am so happy that he finally gave in. We had such a good time! I have decided that I could live there, or at least go there quite a bit. Here are a few pictures of our adventures!

When we went on our trip to Lake Tahoe Tim dropped our camera and it broke, so we had to buy a new one. Our new camera has this special feature called a smile enhancer. What do you think about it?

Tim and I went to the Sneak Preview of this movie on Saturday with our friends Tim and Ashley. The movie was super cute! I would totally reccomend it if you want to watch a good romantic comedy, and I think Tim would too!

My Mustache Man

Happy Birthday Tim! You only turn 26 once in a lifetime, so this is a time to celebrate! I am so happy to have you in my life, you bring so much happiness to me. Easter

I love Easter because of the time we spend with family. Saturday we went to my parent's house to celebrate. We had three dozen eggs to dye, while my little sister hid 52 plastic eggs. She did such a good job, we only found 50. Unfortunately she could not remember where the last two were. We enjoyed a delicious dinner and good conversations with the family. Easter time is one of my favorite times of the year.

Tim and I just had our fourth Anniversary on the 12th. We have gone to Anniversary Inn in Logan for the past four years. We just love it there! It's one of our favorite places to go! We love the rooms and it's just nice to get out of the city. Thanks to my husband booking a room for our first Anniversary. It has been a tradition and will probably stay a tradition in the years to come. I also want to tell Tim how much I love him and what a good husband he is. You're my best friend babe and this has been the best four years. You are more than I could ever ask for. Love you lots!

Valentine's Day Flowers

Aren't my flowers pretty? I love Valentine's Day because, I get flowers! These came for me at work on Thursday in a box(they are from Pro-Flowers). When I got them out of the box, not even five minutes later they had started blooming! It was really neat! They are just as pretty today as the day I got them! Thanks Hunny! Love you so much!

P.S. Met with the Bishop, I'm going to be on the Enrichment Committee as well as my Primary calling. Nothing huge! Still going to be in Primary for life!

Three Kings Day

Last night we were able to celebrate Three King's Day with some of our friends. It is a tradition that was started last year, but we have to say this is the best one yet. For Three King's Day everyone brings a white elephant gift to give, this year we gave a calendar with "hot guys" from Soap Net, and we also made our own Princess Unicorn. We were lucky enough to recieve a putting set that you can use on the potty, and a free karate lesson. It was a pretty good year for us! We have so much fun with all the people that come and the games we play. We hope to be doing this for many more years to come! Thanks to all of our friends that make this holiday so much fun!

Ramen

Tim and I have not had much going on in our lives lately. So, Tim told me to post about how much I like Ramen Noodles. I got sick on New Year's Eve and since then I have been eating Ramen Noodles everyday (Top Ramen is the best - the other brand is not as good). I have to say, they are pretty good when you really don't feel well, and they taste good and are easy on the stomach. Harmons even has them four for a dollar. You can't beat that for a meal.

Christmas with Family

This Christmas had been fun and full with family. We were so happy to spend time with all of them. We spent Christmas Eve at my (Heidi) Mom and Dad's, and Tim's Mom and Dad's for Christmas.
